What colours are your glass splashbacks available in?
Every colour made by Dulux is available on our entire glass splashbacks range. Plus we can also colour match to any existing colour you have a sample of.

Are patterned splashbacks available?
Yes, we have done hundreds of different patterns on our splashbacks. All patterns can be customised to the customers’ individual preferences. We can match almost anything you can draw up for us.

What is the benefits of glass splashbacks over tiles?
No cleaning of the grout between the tiles. Splash backs are seamless and will suite any kitchen design. All of our glass splashbacks are made to measure to we can ensure it will fit perfectly into the space available regardless if your kitchen is not perfectly straight.

What heat resistance do glass splashbacks have?
To toughen the glass it is heated up to 400 degrees, this means that the splashback is more than able to handle the heat in your kitchen.

What type of glass is used? How safe is this glass?
All glass used in Adelaide splashbacks should be 6mm or thicker toughened glass. Toughened glass is six times stronger than a annealed (normal) glass.

 

How long will the splashback last?
We put a ten year warranty on the paint used on the splashback against colour adhesion but realistically if it is well cared for it should last twice as long.

 

Does the colour of the splashback fade?
The colour will not fade, this is due to the high quality of the paint we use and the top of the range application process utilised.

What can I do to keep my glass splashback in a good condition?
Have a squirt bottle with a solution of 50% water and 50% methylated spirits and a few drops of ordinary dishwashing liquid. Use this solution with a paper towel or scrap of newspaper – remember any mess residue left too long may scratch the glass.

What is the average length of time for installation?
45 mins of onsite time by one of our professional glaziers.

Can a splashback be put into an existing kitchen?
Yes, but it is preferred that the tiles have been removed from the kitchen before installation can occur for a seamless finish.

What state does a new kitchen need to be in before ordering a glass splashback?
We would prefer that the cupboards have been installed, electrical wiring completed and bench tops finalised before we measure to ensure we get everything correct within tolerance.

What are the three most important questions I should ask before choosing an Adelaide Glazier to create my splashback?
A) What are the waiting times for installation?
B) Are they trade qualified and fully insured? (lot of unqualified sharks in the market)
C) Do you use quality fittings? (type of silicon used, mould and mildew resistant)

What different designs of shower screens are available?
The three types available are frameless (the best by far), semi-frameless and fully framed. See examples of all of these on our shower screens page.

What type of glass is used? How safe is this glass?
We only use Grade A safety rated glass, our glass is either toughened glass or laminated glass depending on the job being installed and the clients specifications.

What should customers know before ordering a custom made shower screen in Adelaide?
Always check If the fitting are made of brass, a lot of providers are selling cheap plastic fittings which don’t have the lasting power of brass and when they break it can damage the entire shower unit beyond repair.

How long will a custom made shower screen last?
Its life span is dependent on how it is cared for. Having water sitting of the frame will encourage calcium build up which will damage the fittings, this will in turn decrease the life expectancy of a shower screen.

What can I do to keep it in a good condition?
Use a squeegee to wipe down the glass after the last person used the shower for the day. This will reduce calcium build up and reduce the amount of cleaning required to keep you glass looking brand new.

What is the average length of time for installation?

What state does the bathroom renovation need to be in before ordering a custom sized shower screen?
The shower recess will need to have the tiling completed in order for us to come in and measure up and give you a quote on the available options.

What is the warranty on hardware components of your shower screens?
Frameless: 5 years on all hardware
Semi frameless: 2 years on the frames
Full framed: 2 years on the frames
